The Digital Champions Club
SCHOLARSHIPS

Watch a Replay of the 2021 Scholarship Information Event

The last six months has proved that a proactive approach to digital technology is no longer a nice to have, it’s a strategic imperative.

If you work for a not-for-profit or other purpose-driven organisation and want to improve efficiency and grow your impact then watch our 2021 Scholarship Information event. Join me along with coach Kate Harvey and current scholarship recipients as we talk you through the program and answer any questions you have.

* Scholarship recipients receive a 12-month membership to the Digital Champions Club including one-on-one coaching, peer-to-peer learning, quarterly bootcamps and access to our online resources and project library (for full details of what the program involves, check out the program overview). The in-kind value of the full scholarship is $14,400 with the two half scholarships valued at $7,200 each.

Eligibility

The scholarships are open to any Australian based, not-for-profit or for purpose organisations. Not-for-Profit status is not a requirement for application. We will ask you in your submission what it is that you do and that’s your opportunity to tell us about the difference you make.

There is no minimum or maximum size for organisations, though we would suggest that micro organisations (less than 10 staff) may struggle to commit the required human resources to be successful in the program.

Scholarship duration

The scholarships will run for one year from January to December of the year succeeding the awarding announcement. The full scholarship will cover 100% of the club’s membership fees and the half scholarship will cover 50% of the club’s membership fees for this 12 month period.

Application process

Following the submission of applications during October 2020 a short list of applicants will be determined for follow up interviews. Interviews will be undertaken in the first two weeks of November with the successful applicant(s) being informed before the end of November 2020.

Requirements and other costs

Scholarship holders are expected to actively commit to the program in the same way as full fee-paying members. This requires that

  1. The applicant has the explicit support of the organisation’s CEO. The CEO will be the programs internal sponsor and will  be required to participate in the interview stage of the application process.
  2. The organisation will commit two individuals to the program who will each commit a minimum of two hours a week towards their projects.
  3. Quarterly face to face learning days (bootcamps) are currently being held virtually. If we return to physical events it’s expected that your organisation will incur the cost of digital champions attending the quarterly bootcamps in person. These alternate between Melbourne (March and September) and Sydney (June and December). It is our expectation that all members attend all bootcamps in person, but for organisations based in remote areas or if travel costs are prohibitive, we are open to discussing alternative arrangements.
  4. The organisation must be willing to provide the financial support required to implement projects if required (and subject to a satisfactory business case).
